LONDON'S BEST JACK THE RIPPER TOUR

Would you please pass on our thanks to Fiona Atherton and John Bennett who we had the pleasure of meeting on our Jack the Ripper Tour.

We have completed this walk on a number of occasions in the past with a different company and this was much better than any of them.

This walk exceeded all our expectations after the previous visits with a different company when we have been left disappointed. Thank you again and looking forward to our next tour.

ONE OF THE LONGEST ESTABLISHED JACK THE RIPPER TOURS

Since 1982 our Jack the Ripper Tour has been introducing Londoners and visitors alike to the dark alleyways and sinister thoroughfares where the Jack the Ripper murders occurred. We are one of the longest established and best known Jack the Ripper tour operators with an unrivalled reputation for quality and reliability.

Our London walks are widely considered to be amongst the best on offer. We limit the number of participants on our tours to a reasonable and manageable number and we go out of our way to offer you a standard of service that is second to none.

OUR GUIDES ARE EXPERTS AND PUBLISHED AUTHORS

Our Jack the Ripper Tour guides are experts who know this fascinatingAn old house featured on our Jack the Ripper London walks. subject inside out. They are not "resting" actors who have simply learnt a script. In fact we have more expert guides than any other London walks company.

Three of them are published authors, five of them have appeared regularly on Jack the Ripper documentaries and four of them  have been regular guest speakers at Jack the Ripper conferences and seminars in both the UK and the USA.

No other London Jack the Ripper Tour or London walks can offer you the same level of expertise.

WHY CHOOSE OUR JACK THE RIPPER TOURS?
  • We limit the number of participants to a sensible and manageable number. You will be part of a smaller, more intimate group than with the cattle drive London walks that tell you to "Just turn up."
  • Our tour starts in the heart of the district where the murders occurred. We are the only Old arch on Jack the Ripper tour.Jack the Ripper Tour operator to follow a chronological route that takes you step by step through the murders.
  • We visit more of the actual murder sites than any other Jack the Ripper tour.
  • The route we follow is the most atmospheric of all the London walks. The first hour is spent exploring alleyways and streets that have changed little since 1888.
  • We show you actual Victorian photographs (several of them unique to our tour) of the very streets through which you will be walking so you can see them as they were at the time of the murders.
  • Our guides are experts on the subject. Several of them are published authors on the Jack the Ripper murders. They are familiar with every twist and turn of this intriguing murder mystery and you will find them both willing and able to answer any questions you may have.
WE START WHERE THE JACK THE RIPPER MURDERS BEGAN.

Ours is the ONLY one of the Jack the Ripper tours that starts in the heart of the district where the murders occurred, and we follow a more atmospheric The first alley on our Jack the Ripper London Tour.route than any other Jack the Ripper Walk.

From the first narrow cobbled alley that we enter (which often draws gasps of surprise from tour participants) to the moment we enter Mitre Square to stand on the exact spot where Jack the Ripper's fourth victim was murdered you will be taken on a spine chilling journey back to the autumn of 1888. A great number of the buildings covered in the first hour of our tour are still just as they were when the ripper roamed the shadows.

But, to get the full atmosphere of those long ago nights, when terror stalked the shadows and the people of the area walked in constant fear, you really need to be part of a sensibly sized group. You don't want to be part of one of the cattle drive tours where the organisers cram as many people onto it as they possibly can.

WE LIMIT THE NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS ON OUR TOURS.

We are the ONLY Jack the Ripper tour operator that limits the number of participants to a sensible and manageable number. If some-oneThese houses feature in our Jack the Ripper story tour. tells you to just turn up without booking they cannot control their numbers and there is a good chance that you will end up being herded round in a huge cattle drive that might number 70 or more people and might even be as many as 200-300 people all of whom are struggling to hear one guide. Would you really enjoy that?

Our approach has always been different. We want to control the numbers so that those who join us on the Jack the Ripper tour enjoy a more intimate and chilling experience. The old alleys we take you into cannot accommodate the massive groups that have become the norm for several London walks Jack the Ripper Tours.

We think it important that you should get to experience the area as it was and that you get to visit as many of the murder sites as can be covered on a walking tour of Jack the Ripper's London. Our smaller numbers mean we can cover a wider area. They mean that we can fit comfortably into those sinister, dark alleyways that present the true ambience of the Victorian East End.

WE KEEP OUR JACK THE RIPPER TOUR RELEVANT

But we also want the tour to be as informative and comprehensive as possible. That is why we areThe start of our Jack the Ripper Tour in 1888. constantly honing our route and looking into ways of bringing you the most authentic Jack the Ripper tour.

That is why we are constantly researching Victorian photo collections to see if we can find forgotten photographs of the East End Streets that help paint an even clearer picture of what the streets through which you walk looked like in 1888.

In addition should a new piece of information be found about the Jack the Ripper murders we're on to it immediately. In this way we are able to keep as up to date about this fascinating subject as it is possible to be.

OUR TOUR ENDS AT AN UNDERGROUND STATION

At the end of the tour we take you to Aldgate Underground Station, so don't worry you won't be left to find your own way out of Jack the Ripper's London.
